Google Calendar Notifications via SMS

I was a happy user of Google calendar till Spice telecom stopped their email-to-sms feature. That is, I used to forward my google calendar alerts to my_id@my.spicetele.com and that used to get forwarded to my phone as SMS.

I was surprised to notice today that Google has SMS alert facility to Indian carriers now. Spice and Hutch are the only carriers supported now.

Now, only if google can extend their service so that I can create events by sending an SMS to their number. Something like:

CREATE Dinner at FooBar @ 9PM next Monday
