Textpattern

Textpattern is a Content Management System written in PHP. The earliest version of this site when it was btbytes.com. My wife Nayana’s Konkani recipes site KonkaniRecipes.com runs on Textpattern.

Textpattern is an excellent choice for people who like complete control over the their website, while unencumbered by code.

Textpattern uses HTML like tags (eg: outputs the body of the article) instead of mixing code and layout. This has particularly attractive compared to spaghetti code of systems like Wordpress.

The admin interface of Textpattern was and still is one of the better designed ones. It stays out of the way and allows one to concentrate on writing.
